A seven-pointed star, a seventh-level rat

Things might be starting to get... interesting.

I might get a glut of new spells in a hot minute - Blood Transcription.

I also found a big spellbook with a few spells I can actually learn, and our GM has been letting me rip out pages of spellbooks to use as scrolls for the purpose of learning new spells, but I think I might actually take a different tack with this book now that I have a jailbird necromancer waiting for me back at home.

Betrayed by ghost fungus

For a rat very fond of both fungi and dead things, Asper has recently not had a super great time with either.

On the one hand, my hunch was proven correct: the Jane Eyre situation was not only 100% a Jane Eyre situation, Jane Eyre turned out to be capable of doing 27 points of damage in one swipe and she seems about as ready to kill Mr. Nice Guy as we are.

On the other hand, it was mostly luck that allowed this hunch to be proven correct. Asper had no way of communicating this hunch, you see, because in the course of arrogantly swooping off to go do Important Things while the rest of the party fucked around with trying not to let our monk drown in a hole, Asper flew face-first into a haunt, rolled a comedically bad Will Save, and... spent the next four rounds ripping chunks out of their own face in a fit of delusional parasitosis.

Suffering only a handful of points of actual damage...

But taking thirteen points of Charisma damage. For the folks keeping track at home, their Charisma is fourteen. This is not the shittiest it could have been, but we're pretty fucking close.

So now it looks like we're gearing up to do the Boss Battle of this chapter. Hopefully Jane Eyre actually is on our side, and hopefully our fucking monk doesn't continue in his quest to punch every woman with claws who crosses his path.

I'm just not exactly sure what Asper is going to do.

Not a strategy, more a resignation )

Being horny is neither illegal nor evil!

I promise I only made him blandly perfect and sparkly so he can get beaten down into actual paste.

RAT PRACTICE

If I put my character sheet somewhere online, then I can stop carrying around notebooks to try and remember which page of which notebook has the list of which spells I know and how my bonus spells work!

We just went up to level four! But I have not rolled my HP in the sight of our GM so that's just going to wait.

Welcome Back, Fuckers

Well, I moved here from LJ when that bullshit happened, and now it looks like I'm jumping back to here from Tumblr.

Obviously this is not the same interface! So I'm not sure what I intend to do here.

I primarily used tungl.hell to share pretty pictures and other people's wise words and occasionally shitpost, rather than actually keeping a journal the way I did on LJ or here. (Side note: I did go back and delete all the imported entries from my LJ, because I don't feel my online persona at 15 and my online persona today are particularly compatible.)

Will this serve as a temporary roost until someone inevitably pulls a Dreamwidth and creates a serviceable Tumblr duplicate? Will I end up adjusting the way I hang out on the internet to fit this style of blogging platform? Only time will tell...
